Spartans at Sea

Invictus employees from the National Capital Region boarded the M/V Cherry Blossom riverboat in Alexandria, Virginia this afternoon for a three-hour cruise along the Potomac.  Planned as a teambuilding event, the cruise departed at 4:00pm and returned at 7:00pm, cruising north to Washington, DC, turning around at the mouth of the Anacostia River, and then heading south to Alexandria.

With the great weather, the views from the decks were certainly one of the highlights of the event. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks were served on the main level, and after enjoying the camaraderie of fellow Spartans, along with food and drink, all settled in for some informal words from Jim Kelly (Invictus CEO) and Jamie Navarro (Invictus President).

Having just celebrated the anniversary of Invictus’ founding, it was a suitable time to reflect upon all of the accomplishments of the past eight years, while looking forward to many positive and exciting opportunities to come in the near future.

As has become Invictus tradition, everyone gathered for a group picture before departing.  We’re hoping to be blessed with a future of fair winds, following seas, and major contract wins!
